Microphone... hardware test recognizes voice... sound recorder does not.?

Corrina Faro: Open sound and audio devices in your control panel. Under voice the voice tab make sure you are using the correct hardware for voice playback and voice recording and test it using the "test hardware button" and fix the volume on both from here too. Once you see that your hardware is working ok, then choose the audio tab and make sure you are using the same decvice for "sound recording" too.
