Vegetarians: Do you prefer being vegetarian?

Jerrod Guilfoil: Nobody is going to starve to death because they're vegan. That's ridiculous. It's cut and dried. Vegans don't eat, wear, or use animal products.

Luke Gacusan: More fiber equals more bowel movements and they will be messier. It's normal and you will get used to it. Only having 1 bowel movement a day or every other days is okay but the more the better. It shows your digestive system is actually working properly.

Coleen Carignan: Being vegetarian is just awesome. Not only do I save many animals but I was told that my skin condition seems to be improving. They felt softer and some were saying I was starting to look cuter.Plus I don't have to deal with the bloody taste from meat anymore. It's very nasty and I can't believe I ate meat back then.Right now I'm lacto ovo vegetarian hoping to become vegan....Show more

Vickie Sterbenz: yes i do want to be a vegetarian.

Luis Mellon: definite, she is. vegans do not eat eggs or cheese yet veget! arians do. in case you eat at somebody else abode to be that blunt is extremely impolite, no count number if it is not against you understanding that she has a flavor that likes such in case you such as you could restore or purchase some in case you have the money. save it trouble-free issues like the pizza rolls with cheese are solid restore her a million or 2 servings and save the rest for the subsequent trip if she visits oftentimes. chocolates whether not cake like cookies if she likes them sometimes you could desire to get them for her....Show more

Nadia Crauswell: = D I love poo questions LOL. Mine have changed, before it was like having a baby just to "poo" now I rarely ever have any bad bathroom calls. Its quick and fast lol. =] The color changes though with what I eat.

Hunter Beech: it's up to you cook it as you like it.

Keneth Mailhot: The NOW Pure Rice Protein Powder is a good place to start. Mixes well in smoothies especially. I've experimente! d with it for months now and have got excellent results. Keep ! it up, the sky is the limit.

Porfirio Cahall: I am a vegetarian trying to increase my protein intake. I am looking for a great tasting brown rice-based protein powder to use as a base for a smoothie. Diary is not an option, so whey-based supplements are out. Thanks!

Nicolasa Henke: year i think so too

An Cardine: Most vegans are not that extreme from my experience. For example, most of the vegans I know would take an Advil if they had a headache, even though there is gelatin in the tablets. It's impossible to be 100% vegan because there are some animal products in almost everything - car tires, film, medicines, etc. The goal shouldn't be being "pure" (which is an unattainable goal). The point of being vegan is to do what we can, within reason, to reduce animal suffering. I suggest showing your friend this essay:http://www.veganoutreach.org/howvegan.htmlHope this helps....Show more

Antone Youla: I definitely prefer being vegetarian.

Sherrill! Botting: Because mine has a lot, and I am kinda freaking out about it. Should I be?

Renato Abatiell: If your friend is a knowledgeable vegan, he isn't starving himself. Vegans eat just as much as anyone else, they just eat foods that are not derived from animals.

Coralie Goldsberry: well that's just being stubborn. some people get kindof obsessed. i stopped being vegetarian when i was pregnant, then started up again after baby. i know my baby would have probably ended up just fine if i hadn't, i just didn't want to risk it. thanks for saying "some of you"...because not all of us are that extreme. in fact, the extreme factor kindof makes us look bad, in my opinion. people need to chill out and just do what they can without driving themselves and other people crazy....Show more

Mildred Pombo: Vegan food is not hard to find in any part of the world that has a supermarket/grocery store nearby. If your friend is seriously underweight, he might not be vegan a! nd is trying to mask an eating disorder.

Brian Marquina: Even in ! remote places, one can find fruits, vegetables, dried beans, peas and lentils, pasta, nuts, rice... he can always consume canned fruits and vegetables, and they last for years!Being vegan, and not wanting to consume "natural flavoring" generally means you eat whole foods, and not processed crap. He isn't starving himself. Don't worry. People lived for eons before packaged foods were invented. It is a healthy and environmentally sound way of life....Show more

Susan Rambo: yes its quite a bit larger, interestingly...

Faustino Mellerson: It's improved a lot. I have always struggled with IBS and since I quit eating meat my bowel is much better. A lot of people experience increased gas at first as their system adjusts to the increase in fiber. As you see from your answers, most people then have less messy, more regular BM.

Nikita Schroepfer: Yes, it is much harder and dryer. This is mainly down to fibre. I try to drink a lot of water to help moisten things! up. Other than that there isn't much to do, fibre is very healthy and stools being dryer is just a side effect of fibre. :)

Loriann Carrigan: I don't consider it personal at all. It's darker and less greasy+sticky than if I were to start eating out. More fiber too means less amount of wiping, saving on toilet paper costs.

Malcom Fenoff: I do..I become veggie when i was 11 now i am 17. I feel alot healthy with it. The only problem i do get is going to restaurants as there will usually just be one choice..like stir fry which im not keen on.Becoming a veggie is very easy and i would encourage meat eaters to try it.....worth trying!...Show more

Carter Dewater: I just don't get vegans either....the whole animal suffering reason they give is nonsense. I believe in eating only what you must to survive, but I also believe that fruits and vegetation are living organisms too. Call me crazy or whatever but they die without sun, or water and their lack of notable fee! lings, or eyes to cry with while being uprooted is no reason to conside! r them as an ethically eatable food. That's just my opinion.

Judie Kise: I found this montage about vegan values, and it explains why we (vegans) do what we do, why we feel what we feel. Please take the time to view it once or twice with an open mind.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Scb690898FA

Toshiko Reimers: I do prefer being vegan than omnivorous, yes. If you find the taste is too overwhelming, try to balance it out by adding more of a single vegetable.

Patricia Dornbos: Yes, I understand that, but if he got sick somewhere or was on vacation, he would only eat fruits and vegetables that they could bring, which doesn't last very long, 7 day vacation usually, and if they even had a head cold it could turn into PNEMONIA just because they didn't take cold medicine.. even one "serving", or one pill ....

Woodrow Neyman: of course it will change texture. more soft and daily movements due to fiber.

Adam Momaya: Do you know what I mean by "Ghost poop! ?" When you poop and then wipe and you only have to wipe like twice because theres nothing. Thats what my poop is like most of the time since I became a vegetarian. It's awesome!

Nestor Klan: I'm trying to understand why vegans eat (don't eat) what they do. I understand the meat aspect of it, and partially of the dairy. But I have a relative who has a limited food supply so to speak, because of one ingredient (such as "natural flavoring") which might be only 1% of the food or drink, but they don't eat it at all, even if they were sick, just because they don't want to "contribute" to this cause... I understand animal rights and all that, I used to be a vegetarian........ but how can he starve himself, even if he were on vacation or sick.... he might starve to death?? Why do some of you go to this extreme... or maybe you don't and they're just one that would do such a thing...I'm worried about him......Show more

Tana Dumoulin: If it is getting hard and pellet like! , then this is normal. Basically if it looks like rabbit poo

Book! er Moros: His BMI is also pretty low.. lower than 18 (20 is the beginning of the healthy range!)

Gwenda Micheals: I'm beginning to be very poopy and flatulent.

Joan Stavropoulos: Even though he's vegan, he's not doing it right... I don't go to extremes, and I'm guessing most vegans don't either. If you're worried about him, make him a decent vegan meal! Only buy fresh, organic produce, NOTHING with flavourings if he doesn't like it.

Damaris Weiler: I love being a vegetarian, i have been raised this way, but it has always been my personal choice. Becoming vegetarian is one of the most important and effective actions you can take to ease the strain on our Earth’s limited resources, protect the planet from pollution, prevent global warming, and save countless species from extinction. According to Dr. David Brubaker, PhD, at Johns Hopkins University’s Center for a Livable Future, “The way that we breed animals for food is a threat to the planet. It pollut! es our environment while consuming huge amounts of water, grain, petroleum, pesticides and drugs. The results are disastrous.” As the Sierra Club put it in their 2002 report on animal factories, “environmental violations by the meat industry add up to a rap sheet longer than War and Peace.”...Show more

Elvie Drumgoole: yes.

Isaias Badgley: I totally agree, except that I don't like soy all that much. But yes I absolutely prefer being vegetarian. I wouldn't have it any other way.
